Maker vs taker fees for airdrop farming

Maker fills the book; taker lifts it. Points seasons often count both, but fees differ. We use dated maker/taker from partners read; invitee % off when we parsed it. Not a $/point forecast.

Order

  1. Read maker and taker on the offer page for a live venue on this board — dated from their docs.
  2. Check the invitee clause on the same reading — percent off when we could parse it.
  3. Geo still cuts first: their restricted-country page for the connection you will use.
  4. Continue through /go so the invite attaches where the venue says it does.
  5. Compare the maker–taker gap for your planned volume before you grind.

When a venue publishes only one side, that side stays empty in the calculator rather than guessed.

Worked example: Hyperliquid $100k

Same USD volume on one live venue. Open Hyperliquid through our link so the invite is attached, then compare dated maker vs taker cost in the calculator above. Geo is still theirs — read the country page before you size volume.

You get 4% off fees for your first $25M of volume. Hyperliquid's entry tier is 0.045% taker and 0.015% maker, read on their own docs 3 Sep 2026, so on taker volume the discount keeps 0.0018% — about $18 per $1M; on maker volume it is 0.0006%. We receive 10% of the referred fees, out of that fee rather than on top of yours. Restricted Persons are still theirs; payment does not rewrite the list.

What this is not

  • Not a rebate-farming guarantee or a promise that maker fills earn points the same way.
  • Not a $/point calculator from Discord or a secondary market.
  • Not a VPN how-to and not a way around KYC.

Questions

What do maker and taker mean here?

Maker adds resting liquidity to the book; taker lifts or hits it. We show the venue's own dated maker and taker percent strings from partners.json — nothing invented.

Does the invitee cut apply to both sides?

When we parsed a clear N% off pattern, we apply the same percent off to both maker and taker rates. Point bonuses and non-%-off rebates stay text-only.

Why does the gap matter for volume seasons?

Many points programmes count maker and taker volume alike, but the fee bill differs. Seeing the gap for the same USD volume is the cost of choosing how you fill — before you grind.

How is this different from fee-aware farming?

Fee-aware focuses on taker (or volume) cost after the invitee cut. Maker vs taker compares both published sides for the same volume so you see the spread between them.
